Let’s spin some magic.
( ... and we never impose our own vision for the sake of an image we’re trying to curate.)
WE BELIEVE IN THE KIND OF hospitality THAT'S MADE FROM A CLASSIC RECIPE OF FUN, MAGIC, COMFORT, & EASE.
At Tara Skinner Weddings & Events, we serve our couples with a smooth wedding planning & design process, because the phrases “I’m so stressed.” & “Oh no!” shouldn’t cast their shadow on one of the most special days of your life.
We pride ourselves on airtight organization, meticulous attention to detail, deep connections with proven vendors, impeccable style, and well-honed mediation skills.
After all, no one wants to end their wedding day saying, “I just wish we’d done ______ differently.”
WE’LL MAKE SURE YOU DON'T.
With nearly 20 years of flawlessly detailed and deeply personalized events in her portfolio, Tara and her team of wedding planners in Georgia offers high-end, full-service event planning and design. Her work has been featured by Vogue, Over The Moon, Martha Stewart Weddings, Brides, and more. When she’s not serving her clients or leading the team, you can find her trotting the globe with her husband and two children, making memories just like the ones she helps her clients create.
We’re an award-winning Georgia-based event planning & design firm that produces sophisticated celebrations along the East Coast and around the world.
Tara is the friend EVERYONE calls when they need help—so naturally, she's the one you want on speed dial during your wedding-planning process. She believes that events should be designed to leave guests wanting more—and she delivers. Her genuine commitment to a thoroughly planned affair proves that event planning is more than just showing up the day of your event; it’s the months of hard work and attention to detail that create the perfect occasion.
Born and raised in Mississippi, Tara graduated from Georgia Southern University with her Master’s in Accounting before making Savannah home. Prior to owning TSWE, Tara spent her days deep in taxes and auditing working with a Savannah based CPA firm. Her true passion was always event planning, though, so she helped friends plan weddings and parties on the side until she made a name for herself amongst local vendors in the industry.
When she’s not designing events or traveling with her husband, Nathan, and children, Jackson and Emerson, or hanging with their three dogs, Winston, Bailey and Banks, Tara is volunteering for local nonprofits—and making new friends and connections wherever she goes.
Hannah was born and raised in Colorado but has always been a true Southerner at heart. After graduating from the University of Kansas she traveled the country working for her sorority and one stop on her list was Savannah. She immediately fell in love with the cobblestone streets, sprawling live oaks and hostess city charm. She relocated to Savannah in 2013 and began assisting Tara Skinner Weddings & Events as a coordinator and has been a lead planner and designer since 2016. She’s the girl who has a person for every project, a Rolodex chock full of hand-selected industry professionals.
She relishes in making the process seamless for her couples— overseeing each detail with a critical eye, meticulously working behind the scenes to ensure every particular is pieced perfectly together, and ultimately, bringing their vision to life. But above all else, Hannah cherishes the longstanding relationships that she has curated with her couples.
Her proudest accomplishments, and biggest sources of joy, are her two babies Mary Caroline and Rhett. You can most often find her in the lobby of the dance studio (laptop and linen swatches in tow) or refilling water bottles on the soccer field. She loves pouring through a twisty suspense novel on the weekends, zeroing out her inbox and long golf cart rides.
Evan is a native Georgian and has called Savannah home for over a decade. She joined Tara Skinner Weddings and Events as an assistant where she quickly realized that her background in luxury retail equipped her with an unrivaled eye for design. She has been a lead planner and designer with our team since 2017.
Evan has never met a stranger and the thing clients love most about her is her warm and loving nature. She loves nothing more than to organize, color coordinate and precisely fit every piece into her timeline. Admittedly, she fixates on the littlest of details—a fully set table is what she dreams of. She will stop at nothing to source the perfect paint color. She won’t sleep until she knows she’s secured your favorite florist.
While Evan adores her career, her family is at the heart of everything she does. Her husband Ryan lovingly indulges her every design whim—back-to-back renovations anyone!?—while they simultaneously run carpool for their daughters Emma James, Mary Alan and Lucy Fair. She relishes in a house full of friends and family, all gathered round her perfectly styled table, laughter abounding amidst candlelight. They love to travel, bringing back surcees to adorn her bookshelves. She’s known to have a trunk full of chargers, loves long phone chats and lunch dates.
Krystal was raised in New York and has lived on the Southeast coast for over a decade. Her journey in the wedding industry began shortly after moving to Savannah and taking on the role of venue manager for the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel. Although she loved her time at the chapel, she knew she wanted to be more involved with her couples throughout their wedding planning process. In 2018, Krystal joined Tara Skinner Weddings & Events and a year later moved to North Carolina to better serve our Carolina couples. She currently heads up our Carolinas office where she is able to pursue her passion for helping clients design a day that is as beautiful and unique as their own love story!
Behind the scenes, you can find Krystal enthusiastically tackling every detail of your wedding with her love of to do lists, color coding, post it notes and a (very large) coffee in hand! Her days off consist of cuddling up with her husband, Gary, their daughter, Charlotte Gray and pup, Harley.
Over the past twenty years, Savannah has become Amy's permanent place of residence. Upon completion of her degree in Finance with a concentration in Financial Planning from Georgia Southern University, she worked in the banking industry for a number of years, having begun her career there immediately after graduation. In 2016, she started working with Tara Skinner Weddings & Events, and it wasn't long before she realized that her true passion was aiding other people in the process of creating the event that they had previously only envisioned. Not to mention the fact that she is an expert at preserving a healthy financial balance! Amy was promoted to the role of lead planner in 2017, and she currently brings to the TSWE team more than six years' worth of experience in the planning and design fields.
Amy is happiest when she is able to spend her spare time with her family, which includes her husband, Branson, and their four children, Emma, Alaina, Garrison, and Camryn. This provides her with a significant sense of fulfillment.
Lauren was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and has called many places “home” including Reading, PA; Hoboken, NJ; Hilton Head, SC; and finally, Savannah, GA. While attending undergraduate at Albright College she discovered a love, and natural talent for planning events, and could be found planning for her friends, sorority, and the college’s theater company. While earning her MFA in Arts Management, she took a position with a luxury wedding planning firm based in New York City, eventually filling the role of Owner & Creative Director. When her husband’s job brought them south, she continued planning weddings in both New York City, and Hilton Head until she took time to focus on her family following the birth of her son in 2015.
Upon relocating to Savannah, GA in 2021 she was thrilled to join the Tara Skinner Weddings & Events team. Lauren brings with her of 8 years of career experience in addition to her extensive education; a love for a variety of aesthetics, an eye for detail, keen sense of production coordination, and a witty sense of humor. Her greatest joy remains helping to bring her couple’s visions to life, while allowing them to step back, and truly enjoy the beginning of their marriage.
When not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, reading, baking, and pursuing the next great place in Savannah for a bite to eat and a glass of wine.

Everyone we worked with was so on board with what I wanted and supportive of my ideas. And so professional and so insanely talented. And as someone who works in design management, that just blew me away.”
“I really wanted a non-traditional color scheme. I wanted a bit of a quirk factor. I wanted it to be a very original design. I didn’t want a look that you could find on Pinterest today. But at the same time, I wanted it to be tasteful and beautiful. So going into this, it was important to me that we had a really creative team that could take my vision and run with it.
